Only 20 Tea Party senators and house members come from states that are taxed more than the Fed Gov. spends on them. If you are a Tea Party senators and house members you are 60% more likely to come from "welfare states" than "charitable" ones. • 161 Republican senators and house members come from states that receive more money in federal spending than are taxed. Only 124 Republican senators and house members come from states that are taxed more than the Fed. Gov. spends on them. If you are a Republican Party senators or house members you are 30% more likely to come from "welfare states" than "charitable" ones. • 91 Democratic senators and house members come from states that receive more money in federal spending than are taxed. 153 Democratic senators and house members come from states that are taxed more than the Fed. Gov. spends on them. If you are a Democratic Party senator or house member you are 68% more likely to come from "charitable states" than "welfare" ones. • Conclusion - the Tea Party and Republicans are so against government spending because they probably see more of it in their states than Democrats and know how wasteful it is.  So their wisdom should definitely be followed and let's cut back on spending especially in those states that get more than their fair share of Fed government dollars and "see what happens".
